What Is Independent Living at Roberta’s House?

Sometimes referred to as retirement-style living, Roberta’s House offers private studios and shared living spaces for individuals who do not require full-time assistance but value comfort, community, and convenience.
Residents enjoy the freedom of independent living while having access to optional lifestyle services and supportive care when and as needed.

At Roberta’s House, support is flexible and resident-directed.
Residents may request In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) or private concierge care, including:
Cleaning & household management
Cooking & meal preparation
Grocery shopping & meal planning
Laundry & linen service
Ambulation & mobility support
Grooming & personal care assistance
Transportation to appointments
Companionship & wellness support
This allows each resident to customize their level of care while maintaining independence.

If we choose your application you will be invited to pay your move-in fees and attend orientation.

We provide discounted housing rent starts at $1500 - $2500 mo.
We accept Insurance and will soon be accepting low-income housing vouchers/grants.

Residents can stay for a term of up to 3 years according to your needs and our availability.
Residents must follow home rules. If resident has any concerns she will address them with management and management will establish solutions or remedies if applicable.
Breaking house rules may result in exclusion from the program or rent increases.
Residents must be able to live in their unit unassisted to remain in the program. Any new health concerns that may affect your ability to live unassisted must be reported to management.

We offer a comprehensive program of education in areas such as self-care, infant care, independent living skills, counseling, relationships, life planning, employment, and more. Get hands-on experience, with the support of our dedicated staff. Instruction in nutrition, childbirth, parenting, and homemaking skills are offered.

Emotional and Psychological Support: Our counselors and support staff are available to provide emotional and psychological support. We offer individual and group counseling sessions to help you navigate the challenges and joys of pregnancy and motherhood.

What is Roberta’s House?
Roberta’s House is an independent living residence offering private and shared studio-style housing for adults who do not require full-time care but benefit from a safe, supportive, and community-centered environment.
Can I have Guests?
A: Yes, visitors are allowed during designated hours and days with staff approval for special occasions/situations. However, overnight guests are not generally permitted.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes, a security deposit equivalent to one month's rent is required upon move-in. This deposit is refundable upon move-out, provided there are no damages and all financial obligations are met.
Who is this home best suited for?
Roberta’s House is ideal for individuals who:

Do you provide medical or 24/7 care?
No. Roberta’s House is not a medical facility and does not provide 24/7 medical care.
However, residents can arrange In-Home Supportive Services or private care-giving providers for assistance as needed. If you family member requires
Do you provide any educational programs?
Yes, we offer a comprehensive program of education in areas such as self-care, independent living skills, Technological counseling and local community resources. Instruction in nutrition, and homemaking skills are also provided.
Do your drug test residents?
No. We do not drug test our residents.
How much is rent?
Rent is required monthly and must be paid by the 3th of each month to avoid a late fee. $1500 a month - $2800 mo*. This covers your accommodation, meals, and access to all our services and programs and equipment. We can arrange payment plans based on individual financial situations. Subject to change*.
What kind of emotional and counseling support is available?
A: We offer virtual and individual and group counseling sessions to help residents navigate the challenges and joys of aging and independent living. Our counselors and support staff are always available to provide emotional support and companionship.
