Our process is simple and broken into 3 simple steps:
STEP 1 ONLINE CONSULT | We meet for virtual consultation during this time we talk about your hair goals, habits, and preferred hair styles this helps YOU and your loctician see if Sisterlocks are right for you and if working with us is right for you.
STEP 2 THE FIRST VISIT & LOCKING SESSION| We will then have you set up your first in-person Sisterlock consultation. After signing a client agreement and going over our last visit we confirm your choice in sisterlocks, brotherlocks or XLs. This is important to ensure your service is done in the most suitable way. We will install test locks to see how they will hold , the amount of scalp showing, etc.
STEP 3 THE SECOND VISIT & INSTALL |
This step takes the longest. Bring your IPAD or a good book installs can take anywhere from
10 - 72 hours. Bring your patience and excitement! Sisterlocks are an investment and proper consistent maintenance and care is the key to beautiful locks over time. You will receive your starter kit and new client worksheets. You are required to set up your 3rd visit prior to leaving the appointment and demonstrate you can wash your hair.
STEP 4 THE THIRD VISIT FOLLOW UP|
4 weeks after your install your loctician will investigate the condition of your locks and let you know how often you should come to retightenings to maintain your look. This is determined by your habits and average time between visits.
FOLLOW UP VISITS |
We recommend you get retightenings between every 4-6 weeks this way your progress can be monitored (but we do have options for later retightenings between 7-10 week appointments at an additional fee). As your locks mature your loctician will be able to make recommendations that will help you assess the best schedule for your look. Remember Sisterlocks vary according to maintenance.
Tipping is always allowed but not required.
YOU MUST BE ON TIME. IF YOU ARE LATE THERE IS A LATE FEE $10 FOR EVERY 10 MINUTES. IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 35 MINUTES LATE YOU MUST RESCHEDULE.

Reties can take up to 4 hours or more deepening on length of hair.
Interlocked microlocs are time and labor intensive expect every installation to be about 24-72 hours long; (broken into 3 days max).
Installation fee includes your first retie appointment as well. -

Sisterlocks are the ORIGIONAL micro locking system utilizing interlocking methods and specialized tools. Its was established in San Diego, CA 1993 by Dr. JoAnne Cornwell.
Trinytei Aaron of Luxury Baby Concierge graduated from her training on October 26th 2025.
As a sisterlock trainee she has been trained to establish and complete Retightenings and Sisterlock installs and establishments.
We Install, retighten, and establish sisterlocks, brotherlocks, and Sisterlocks-XL for more affordable rates.
